The LTA launched an automated licensing and renewal system, so applicants can apply online instead of returning to its headquarters.
The LTA has introduced an automated system for applying for and renewing telecommunications licences, in place of paper-based processes. Applicants can apply online instead of making repeated visits to the Authority’s headquarters, which the regulator expects to cut costs and processing times.
LTA staff are being trained to manage applications on the new platform. Applicants who need help, or prefer to deal with the Authority in person, can still do so, so that the move online does not shut out people with limited internet access.
